4th Annual Physics Workshop – April 17th 2019 (Regina)

Opportunity to learn more about physics at the University of Regina with Dr. N. Kolev!

Information on registration and agenda are below!

4th Annual Physics Workshop

Classical Physics: Particles, Fields and Interactions.

When: April 17, 2019, 9:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Where: Crown Room, 4th Floor, Travelodge Hotel and Conference Centre, Regina

Who: Dr. N. Kolev, Department of Physics, University of Regina

The session will deal with the following topics: classical physics history, particle mechanics, Newton’s laws, force of gravity, fields and fundamental interactions, and limits of classical physics.

The session will be a mixture of lecture style presentation and group discussion to explore the conceptual aspects of classical physics. Efforts will be made to provide as many examples as possible for solving problems using the concepts of fields in physics. No advanced knowledge of mathematics will be assumed, but knowledge of basic mathematics will be helpful.
